Della A. Winans, 86, of Crawford County Care Center and formerly of Main Street, Townville, went to be with her husband, Floyd, on December 21, 2013. She was born in Meadville on June 23, 1927 a daughter of Bessie Peterson Fisher and Frank Fisher. She married Floyd Winans on July 3, 1947 he preceded her in death on January 25, 2012. Della was a kind and loving mother and grandmother. She was well known for having family, friends, and neighbors for friendly conversation, coffee, and dessert. She was an amazing baker and cook. She was employed at Rex Carpenter's Packing Plant of Townville for many years and retired from the Country Table Restaurant. She was known for her delicious pies and salads. She will be sadly missed by her four children, Linda Smock and her husband George of Meadville, Gary Winans and his wife Lois of Maryland, Leroy Winans and his wife Sue of Emlenton, and Diane Nuhfer and her husband Steve of Townville; grandchildren, Darrel, Dwayne, and Bridget Smock, Courtney, Melissa, and Jason Winans, and Sean, Shannon, and Ryan Nuhfer; eleven great-grandchildren; one great great-grandson; sisters, Letha Britton of Cambridge Springs, Lucille Steinberg of California, and Loretta Tucker of Florida. In addition to her loving husband, Floyd, Della was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Delmar, Edgar, and Harry Fisher; and a great-grandchild, Garrett George. Family and friends are welcome to call on Thursday, December 26th from 11:00am to 2:00pm at Willis L. Arnold Funeral Home, 33353 N.Main Street, Townville. The funeral service will follow at 2:00pm with Pastor Shawn Amy of New Beginnings Church of God, Meadville, officiating. Burial will take place in Kingsley Cemetery, Townville. The family would like to extend there sincere appreciation to the staff at the Crawford County Care Center for their loving care of Della.   1. I’m so very sorry to hear of your mom’s passing. Though I had never met her, I had went to school with all her children, although they were all older than me. Dallas and LeRoy were close, playing sports. I just wanted you all to know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers during you sad time.   2. I am so sorry for your loss, and that it had to happen at Christmas time! She was such a special woman! She truly loved her children and grandchildren. I know that she celebrated Christmas in heaven with Floyd and Jesus. I pray that God will comfort the entire family. Again I am so sorry for your loss.A
