Jean Louise Noel, 77, of Meadville, passed away, Thursday, October 10, 2013 at her residence. She was born on December 3, 1935 in Meadville a daughter of Louis DeDomenic and Wilmina Cullen DeDomenic. She married William Lee Noel he preceded her in death on March 29, 2005. She was a graduate of Meadville Area High School and was a homemaker taking care of her family. Jean was a devoted member of Bethany United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday school, played the piano during worship, and was in charge of the Christmas program for several years. She was the Judge of Elections for many years, the first lady of Meadville Softball, and served on the Keystone Auxiliary. Jean was a avid sports fan following the Pittsburgh Pirates, local athletics, and supported her grandchildren in numerous sporting events; she enjoyed gardening, singing with her sisters Pat and Carol, crossword puzzles, playing cards with her family, and loved being around her grandchildren. She is survived by two daughters, Jean L. Chess of Meadville and Jennifer L. Schreffler of Meadville; two sons, Louis R. Noel and his wife Debra of Meadville and William J. Noel of Meadville; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; two sisters, Carol Kuhn of Meadville and Lynn Bloom of Richmond, Virginia; two brothers, Don DeDomenic and his wife Ruth Mary of Ashtabula, Ohio and Richard DeDomenic of Meadville.; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her loving husband; Jean was preceded in death by her parents; two grandchildren, Elaina Schreffler and Brandon Schreffler; and a sister, Pat Jones. Family and friends are welcome to call on Monday, October 14th from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and 7:00pm to 9:00pm at Roofner-Collins-Warren Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 544 Chestnut Street, Meadville. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 15th at Bethany United Methodist Church, 140 Wadsworth Ave., Meadville. With Reverend Lea A. Guiney of East Grove and Polk United Methodist Churches, officating. The committal service and burial will take place in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Vernon Township. Memorial contributions may be made to Roofner-Collins-Warren Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 544 Chestnut Street, Meadville, PA 16335 or Bethany United Methodist Church, 140 Wadsworth Ave., Meadville, PA 16335.   2. I’ve known Jean since I was in grade school. She was a sweet, kind lady, an I’ll miss her. I have only fond memories of my time spent with Jean altho I know my cousin and I used to drive her crazy at Christmas play rehearsals. When I think of Jean, I just smile. My condolences to her family. Rest in peace Sweet Jean.

  3. THIS IS TRULY A SAD TIME FOR JEAN’S FAMILY, BUT A WONDERFUL TIME IN HEAVEN AS SHE IS NOW WITH HER DEPARTED FAMILY WHO SHE MISSED SO VERY MUCH.BRANDON & ELAINA PROBABLY MET HER AT THE GATE AND SAID “WELCOME HOME” GRANMA.

    JEAN WOULD HAVE BEEN SO PROUD OF THE WAY HER KIDS TOOK CARE OF HER ALL HER LIFE AND ESPECIALLY THESE LAST FEW DAYS.
    JEAN WAS SURELY SPECIAL AND I FEEL SO FORTUNATE TO HAVE HER IN OUR FAMILY.

I’m so sad at the loss of my dear friend, Jeannie – although we didn’t see each other nearly enough, we were always close in thoughts and love, and I’m so glad I was able to speak with her last week. I know, as all of you do, that she is at peace. My prayers will be with over the next few days and for a long time afterward. Love, Polly

  6. I am so sorry for the loss of Mrs. Noel. We knew the noels and kuhns for along time by going to Canadota Lake. Our families always got together for vacations there. She was a very kind and wonderful person. I want to show my sorry for not only myself but for our family and my parents Al And Mary Ann Rorison. Unfortunatly I will not be able to attend the service, but most of all I know that my parents would have made the trip up to meadville but they are out of town. Once again we are sorry for your loss and our prayers go out to your family.
