MEADVILLE — Theodore LaVerne Larson, 60, of Coleman Road, Meadville, passed away on Sunday, July 7, 2013, at Meadville Medical center. Born July 6, 1953, in Burbank, Calif., he was a son of LaVerne Luther Larson and Anna Marie Ward of Meadville. He married Cheryl Free on Aug. 17, 1974; she survives. He was a graduate of Meadville Area High School, and he retired from PGW this year. He was a member of Watson Run Presbyterian Church. He was a street rod enthusiast and enjoyed taking road trips. He also enjoyed snow skiing. Survivors include his parents, LaVerne Luther and his wife, Anna Marie Larson, of Meadville; his wife, Cheryl Larson of Meadville; two daughters, Jessie Larson of Richmond Hill, Ga., and Jackie Larson of Meadville; a son, Christopher Larson of Perry Hall, Md.; three sisters, Winifred and her husband, Norman Hill, of Cochranton, Terrie and her husband, Douglas Tabor, of Conneaut Lake, and Jennifer Larson of Meadville; a brother, Greggory Larson of Franklin; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Wednesday from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Roofner-Collins-Warren Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 544 Chestnut St., Meadville. The memorial service will be held at Watson Run Presbyterian Church on Thursday at 5 p.m., with the Rev Rachel Johns officiating.     I’m very sorry to hear about the loss of Ted. I know he meant a lot to you.
    I met him at work (I am one of the guards), and through the years he became a friend. I always saw him with a smile on his face, a twinkle in his eye and he always had a bright out look and a way to make everyone laugh.
