Robert Nial Parker, 65, of Townville, went to his final rest on Friday, April 26, 2013 at his residence. He was born on February 7, 1948 a son of Nial Lee Parker and Margie Winniafred Smith Parker. He was raised by his mother and step-father, Clyde "Mike" Steadman from an early age. He was a 1966 graduate of Townville High School and worked in the logging business for several years, also for IPSCO Drilling Company, Joy Manufacturing. He then moved onto mechanical repair with Bossard Garage and his last place of employment was with Penn Crest School District. Robert was a member of Townville Fire and Ambulance Services also with West Mead 2 as a certified EMT. He was the Scout Master of Troop 231 in Townville and was also involved in scouts in Spartansburg. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping, gardening, canning, brewing his own homemade wine and a nip or two of his Applejack, most of all he loved being around his family and friends. Robert is survived by his loving wife, Jane Harmening Parker; his mother, Margie Steadman; a brother, David Parker and his wife Karen; a sister, Sandy Schaefer and her husband Buster; daughters, Melanie Derwinis and her husband Steve and Julie Hazeltine and her husband Paul; a son, James Parker and his wife Bridget; step-brothers, Lovie Steadman and his wife Marilyn and Bill Steadman and his wife Dorothy; grandchildren, Bradley, Philip, and Mackenzie Parker and Joey, Erik, Nick, Florence, and Mia Derwinis; many great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Nial; step-father, Mike; a sister, Connie Bossard; a infant brother, James Parker; and a step-sister, Sarah Conley. Family and friends are welcome to call on Tuesday, April 30th from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and 6:00pm and 8:00pm at Roofner-Collins-Warren Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 544 Chestnut Street, Meadville. The funeral and committal service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, May 1st at 11:00am with Pastor Glen Van Cise of Chapmanville Community Church, officiating.
