Daniel G. Toboz, Sr., 74, of Meadville, passed away, Monday, April 15, 2013 at Meadville Medical Center. He was born on December 6, 1938 in Woodcock Township, a son of Albert Toboz and Grace Schroeder Toboz. He married Patricia Dudenhaver on May 24, 1984, she survives.
He was a 1958 graduate of Saegertown High School and was employed by Meadville Forging for 44 1/2 years until his retirement in January of 2004.
Daniel was a member of Saint Paul United Church of Christ, very active member of Saegertown Lions Club for over 30 years, a past member of F.O.E Eagles and American Legion.
He was a PIAA official for over 30 years and officiated high school boys baseball and high school girls softball
Daniel loved rollerskating which he did from his teenage years and into his 60's, traveling in his R.V. to all 50 states and 12 provinces in Canada.
He always supported his grandchildren in all their activities and sporting events. His grandchildren and granddogs were his life.
In addition to his loving wife he is survived by two sons, Daniel G. Toboz, Jr. abd his wife Mary Ann of Chesapeake, VA and David Toboz and his wife Mary of Meadville; three daughters, Carol Cavalier and her husband Chris of Billerica, MA, Mary Eckart and her husband Larry of Meadville, and Diane Minnis and her husband Chris of Meadville; eleven grandchildren, Andy, Craig, and Victoria Eckart of Meadville, Colleen and Meghan Cavalier of Billerica, MA, Alex, Tyler, and Laura Minnis; Weslei, Marisa, and Karisa Toboz all of Meadville; one stepson, Jeffrey Dudenhaver and his wife Judy of Seven Fields, PA; two stepdaughters, Lori Elinsky and her husband Scott of Oakhill, VA, and Cami Robie and her husband Thomas of Erie; three stepgrandchildren, Kelly and Michael Dudenhaver of Seven Fields, PA and Ryan Robie of Erie; two sisters, Nancy Lamb of Conneaut, Ohio and Alberta Snyder of Cleveland, TN; and one niece and three nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brother in laws, Robert Lamb and Arthur Snyder.
Per Daniel's wishes there will be no calling hours and services will be private.
Burial will take place in Blooming Valley Cemetery.
