Anthony Leon Prystaloski, 89, passed away, Sunday, April 14, 2013 after a short illness. He was born August 18, 1923 in Allison, Pennsylvania a son Joseph and Anne Prystaloski. His father and five brothers moved to a local farm in Meadville when Anthony was twelve years old. He was married to Martha Irene Irwin Prystaloski since February 7, 1948. They had just celebrated 65 years of marriage. Anthony joined the Army, March 1943 and was honorably discharged March 1946. He was with Company "K" of the 222nd Infantry in the European Theater during World War II. Anthony worked at Sharon Steel for 32 years which he retired from in 1980. He also worked on the family farm. He was a lifetime member of VFW Post 2006 and the Eagles. Anthony enjoyed spending time with his family and traveling with his wife. In addition to his wife Martha he is survived by a daughter, Constance J. Zappia and her companion Michael E. Bacon of Conneaut Lake; a granddaughter, Angelina "Lena" Zappia and her husband Joshua Lawrence of LoLo, MT; a grandson, Domenic "Jay" J. Zappia and his fiance Kerrie Curtin of Kansas City, MO; five great grandchildren, Seth and Sara Zappia of Kansas City, MO and Jacob, Zachary, and Nicholas Zappia-Lawrence of LoLo, MT; a brother, Robert Prystaloski and his wife Ruth of Meadville; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Chester, Karl, Frank, and Leon; and two sisters, Martha and Jenny. A private graveside service will be held at Roselawn Memorial Gardens for the immediate family.
