Lea H. Smith, 87, of Golfview Manor, passed away, Sunday, December 2, 2012 at her residence. She was born April 8, 1925 in Antwerp, Belgium a daughter of Paul Bossers and Philomena Uereeckem Bossers. She married Joseph Rickel in 1956 he preceded her in death in 1968, subsequently she married Robert W. Smith in 1978 and he passed away in 1999. She was a member of VFW Post 2006 Auxiliary. Lea was employed by Wesbury United Methodist Retirement Community at a physical therapy aid until her retirement in 1994. She is survived by a daughter, Michele Rickel and her companion William of Meadville; one son, Michael Rickel of Cary, North Carolina; one step-son, Thomas Smith and his wife Martha of Meadville; three grandchilren, Samantha Rickel and her companion Alex Cornell of Meadville, John Rickel of Fort Campbell, Kentucky, and Sharon Free of Meadville; one step-grandchild, Greg Smith of Meadville; one great-grandchild, Allie Cornell; a daughter in law, Sharri Rickel of Meadville; a sister in law, Mary Lou Taormina of Meadville; two nieces, Rose Mary Prenatt and her husband Michael of Guys Mills and Freda of Belgium. In addition to her two husbands, Lea was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters; and a son, Mark Rickel Calling hours and the funeral service will be private. Burial will take place in Greendale Cemetery, Meadville. Memorial donations may be made in Lea's memory to the Crawford County Humane Society, 11012 Kennedy Hill Road, Meadville, PA 16335 or Hospice of Crawford County, 464 Pine Street, Meadville, PA 16335.   1. I remember Lea well from working with her at Westbury. She was a delightful friend. She has been a good friend to my Mom at Golfview and to my brothers ans sisters. My sympathy to all of you.
