Mary Elizabeth Walsh, 74, of Franklin Street, Cochranton, passed away, Sunday, August 12, 2012 at the home of her granddaughter, surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was born August 26, 1937 in Greenville, Pennsylvania a daughter of Fredrick Raymond Young and Pearl Elizabeth Rose Young. She married Joseph I. Walsh on September 26, 1974, he passed away on April 7, 2000.
She was a 1957 graduate of Greenville High School and was a homemaker.
She attended Cochranton United Methodist Church.
Mary enjoyed gardening, sewing, shopping, but most of all she loved spending time with her family.
Mary is survived by three daughters, Louise Stierly of Pottstown, Pennsylvania, Marlene Melancon and her husband Thomas of Duson, Louisiana, and Angela Walsh of North Carolina; a son, John Walsh and his wife Tammy of Youngstown, Ohio; thirteen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and a cousin, James Young and his wife Pat of Jamestown, Pennsylvania.
In addition to her loving husband Joseph of nearly 26 years she was preceded in death by her parents; a son-in-law, Ray Stierly; and a brother, Charles Young.
A celebration of life service was held for the immediate family.

You were the bubbliest person I’ve ever knew in my life you were outspoken just wanted to let u know you took a big piece of my heart with you hope an pray ever night you got your wishes to see grandpa I can’t get over the time I laid there with you til you passed it was a blessing to read the prayer for everyone in your concerns of you passing I can’t face the facts that your gone I cry almost everyday me an Angie haven’t stopped talking I remember how I use to bite my nails when grandpa was around an he took my fingers an put pepper on them for me to stop an I never did an grandma told him the other time when he said he was gonna put hot sauce on them an she told him to stop ill never forgot those days I love you both very much an you will always be in my heart for ever!!!….love you <3

She was like my second mom away from home. We had alot of good times together. Now she can rest in peace and be with her husband. Now all the pain is gone, rest in peace! We love you and you will be with us everyday of our lives!!!
