  1. So sorry for you loss. Please know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers. John will be dearly missed. I remember how he and his brother Tom (grandpa Tom to me) used to laugh and kick it up together like kids. May God bless you all.

  2. I remember a time when John came to see me at the bank; during the conversation, I off-handedly commented that I hadn’t had my second cup of coffee that morning. It wasn’t five minutes after he left my office that he was back with a steaming cup of McDonald’s brew for me. What a kind man!

  3. Don, Ann and Madden Family, our deepest sympathy on the loss of your beloved father. May the memories you have of him live on in your hearts. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

  9. To the Madden Family, I am deeply sorry that John lost his fight. I was one of the drivers who drove and talked with him to and fro to treatments. I enjoyed his laughter and love of God. He is with our Lord and I know I will see him again. God be with you all.

  11. I am sorry for your loss. I did not know him well but I am sure he will be missed by his family

  12. Thinking of you in this time of sorrow, Our thoughts and prayers go out to each one of you.

  13. I am so sorry to hear of Dads passing. Everytime he came by the bank he would carry around his favorite peppermint candy and they were the best ones he would say and not those cheap ones. So he would have to send some into me and of couse before leaving he would have to tell me a joke. I sure will miss seeing him. All of you take care and remember he will always be in your hearts.

  14. I met John when he became a patient of Community Eye Care. I was the receptionist in our Titusville office, as well as working in Seneca and Warren, and he was always so kind to me. He spoiled me, and called me his girlfriend – he brought me candy and cookies when he came in for his follow up appointments. When my Dad became ill, he made a special trip to Warren to ask his full name, so that he could put on the prayer list. They met, briefly, when they were both in the Titusville offices for appointments, and my parents thought he was as sweet a man as I did. My dad has since passed away, and I can see them both up in heaven, sitting around, shooting the breeze. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this terribly difficult time.

  15. To the Madden Family,
I’m sorry for your loss. I was one of the drivers who drove him to and from his treatments. I enjoyed our conversations we had during the ride. I’m sure he will be sadly missed.
    God Speed!

  16. To the family of John Madden: A member of our congregation added you to our prayer list Sunday. We pray that God will comfort you in your time of sorrow and that you would turn to the Lord for your strength and hope. Let us know if there’s anything we can do. May God richly bless you. 17. Though I did not know you well, I do know what a wonderful man you must have been to have left such a legacy behind. I know most of your children well, you have blessed this world with such amazing people. I feel lucky to know your family and lucky to have heard such warm, and comedic stories of you and your life with your “pups” :).
