  32. Bill was truly a nice person. He cared about others and spent his life in service to others. When I came home for visits, Bill was always a welcome sight and wonderful person to talk with. Part of his legacy will be felt by the many, many people that he helped, some as a teacher, some as a lawyer, some as a judge and many more as a friend.

  33. Linda: I am very saddened by Bill’s passing. He was one of my favorite people on this earth. In high school, my idol; and then we worked together at MASH. Bill made the education process fun for all those young people that he touched. He and “Chico” with their sense of humor and positive attitudes help me through many tough days as a high school principal.

I admired him as the Juvenile Master and worked with him and the other judges on some projects. Most recently, I truly enjoyed our conversations about politics. I will miss him greatly. Please know that you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

  42. The world has lost a very special person. From the first time I met Bill in 1973, I found him to be a wonderful man. He helped guide my husband and I through purchasing our business a few years later, he helped me deal with my aging parents (one with Alzheimer’s) as I had to make some hard decisions on their care. He was a wonderful, caring person. I spoke with him on Monday morning regarding his truck and in person the Friday before. He always made me chuckle about one thing or another. I truly cherish that. Our sympathies to you and Floyd on your tremendous loss. May God Bless

  43. So sorry to hear of Bill’s passing. Unfortunately a full court schedule of child support hearings prevent may attendance at his funeral today, but I’m sure Bill would understand the importance speedy child support determinations.
Joye and I recently ran into Bill and had a chance to chat about his retirement. He related that at first he wasn’t sure what to do with his new found freedom, but then realized he now had the time to catch up on his reading. He said he really loved sitting in his favorite chair reading a good book. Sounds as though he passed most peacefully.
For years Bill was respected for the way he served his community and especially the young folks who needed his guidance. What better legacy could there be.
