Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. We were so sorry to hear about Floyd. He was a very special man and will be missed. We always liked being around him. Please accept our sympathy. We’re sorry we can’t be there to attend the showing and funeral.

  2. We will sure miss our little chats on the porch swing. Such a nice man and will be missed by many. Thoughts and prayers are with the family.

  3. I remember Floyd for his tireless devotion to his beloved Townville Eagles! The world needs more people like him. My condolences to his entire family, and especially to Gary and Leroy.

  4. Gary & Lois, My sympathy goes out to the two of you and your family. When I think of Floyd I think of a strong, likable man with a smile and an easy way. He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed. Bill

  5. We wish to express our sympathy to the Floyd Winans family. I’ve eaten a lot of Floyd’s red potatoes shared a few fishing trips with him, and listened to many of his stories when he visited Mert’s garage. I worked with Della a couple of years at Rex Carpenter Packing Company, helped Gary obtain his First Ford Maverick, interfaced with Leroy when he would be around our home visiting my brother Gary. In the summer time Floyd would often stop by our cabin on Mystic Park Road just to saw hello and talk about fishing. I have a lot of fond memories of your family. All of you are in our thoughts and prayers.

  6. Our hearts are broken as well, as we share in your family’s grief from losing an admirable, caring, devoted and loving Brother-in-Law, Uncle, and Great Uncle. Floyd provided us all with countless memories that we will cherish for all eternity. Memories which included Glenn, whom always considered Floyd not only to be his Brother-in-Law but a great friend. We will miss him deeply. Our prayers and love are with you all.

  7. I will always remember your dad,a great person and fisherman.much time has past since leaving Townville, but Floyd and his family will always provide fond memories.

  8. Sorry to hear about the loss of your husband and father. I remember him as a pleasent man, who was interested in your activites and lives.
