  4. We were so sorry to hear of Uncle Bill’s passing. He will forever be a warm memory of the cottage days up at French Creek. I can remember my sisters, brother and I riding our bicycles way up that Dutch Hill Road to see Uncle Bill at the farm, [ by default of course, as he was really Paul and Georgie’s uncle, but we were quick to claim him as ours, too!] He would always greet us with a smile, a kind word ….. The last time we saw Uncle Bill was at our home for Annie and Georgie’s reception after their wedding. He looked so dapper in his black leather jacket, with that snowy white hair and sparkling eyes… always such a gentleman.. It has been a long road home for Uncle Bill…..May God bless him!

  5. I am saddened by the passing of Uncle Bill and will always remember him as a man with a good sense of humor, that loved animals. Some of my fondest childhood memories of the summers spent at my family’s cottage are of the trips to the farm to visit Uncle Bill. As I visited with him the last time while he was living at George and my sister Annie’s home, he was talking about his sister Mary while we watched a favorite video on the TV in his apartment. I felt blessed to have that time with him and will cherish these memories always. Rest peacefully, Uncle Bill, until we meet again…Ruthie

  6. Our family would like to extend our deepest sympathy on the loss of Bill. My father, Bob Morgan, (who passed away shortly before Bill (Dec 18th) was roommates with Bill at Rolling Fields for the last year; and we never realized during the whole time they were roommates that they probably knew each other. In reading Bill’s obituary, I see that he was survived by a nephew, George Sylves, and was predeceased by a sister, Laura McGuigan. If I’m not mistaken, George grew up on the next road over from us. We lived on Carpenter Road and my brother and sisters and I rode the bus with George and his cousin Joe McGuigan most of our lives. What a small world! Our deepest sympathy on your loss.
