Nancy C. Sleeth

Dear Family of Miss Sleeth,

I graduated from the University of Rochester in 1960. While I was a student there, I worked for Miss Sleeth in the Circulation Department of the library.

She was an ideal supervisor for students who had little previous work experience. She was very fair, but also sympathetic to our occasional illnesses and difficulties with scheduling. I remember my time working in that fine library with pleasure.

When I returned for our fiftieth reunion in 2010, I could see that much has changed in the library building, indeed throughout the university, since my time there. But I’m sure that her well-run department is still ticking along just fine.

I’m glad she was able to have a long and interesting life.
