Marie M. Hammer, 94, of Guys Mills, passed away, Saturday, November 12, 2011 at Meadville Medical Center. She was born August 28, 1917 in Homestead, Pennsylvania, a daughter of Joseph Repko and Mary Lucas Repko. She married James W. Hammer, he preceded her in death on August 8, 1985.
She graduated from North Shenango High School near Espyville and worked at Talon in Meadville.
She was a member of Saint Agatha Roman Catholic Church.
Marie enjoyed the outdoors and flowers.
She is survived by a daughter, Mary M. Hammer of Guys Mills; two sons, James E. Hammer of Oregon and John C. Hammer of Guys Mills; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a sister in law, Josephine Repko of Linesville; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband James she was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, John and Ed Repko; and a sister, Margaret Shick.
Calling hours will be private.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, November 14th at 10:00am at Saint Agatha Roman Catholic Church, 353 Pine Street, Meadville, with Father Matthew Kujawinski, pastor, of Saint Agatha Roman Catholic Church, as celebrant.
Burial will follow in Saint Agatha Cemetery, West Mead Township.
In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to Saint Agatha Roman Catholic Church, 353 Pine Street, Meadville, PA 16335.

Our deepest sympathy in the passing of aunt Marie, she will be sadly missed. She was one of our favorite aunts, I always enjoyed the time we spent together. Always looked forward to the family visits.
