Billy Lee Castile, 69, of Meadville, PA, passed away on May 15, 2011 at Wesbury United Methodist Community where he had been a resident since May 2005 and cared for by Hospice of Crawford County. He was born in Meadville Spencer Hospital on Thursday, July 31, 1941 at 8:00 A.M., the son of James Chancey Castile and Helen Louise Smith Castile.
He married Mildred Rath and they had a son Delmar James Castile, Sr. He later married Jo Ann Prussia.
He attended Saegertown High School.
He enjoyed hunting, baseball games, and loved to watch his grandchildren play ball.
He was in the U.S. Army from January 22, 1964 and was honorably discharged on January 21, 1966. He was employed at Saegertown Carbide from March 1973 to September 1993.
He found sobriety on December 5, 1972 and continues to be a dedicated lead speaker, sponsor and champion for all who needed his help through their journey to sobriety.
He is survived by his son Delmar James Castile, Sr., and his wife Betty of Distant, PA, three grandsons Jeff, Weisman, Joseph Castile, Jimmy Castile of Meadville, four step-grandchildren, Rachel, Matthew, Amber, Joshua, step-great-grandson, Conner, his ex-wives, Mildred Rath and Jo Ann Castile of Meadville, Niece Valerie Motter and her husband Edward of Titusville, nephew Edward Castile and his special friend Cindy of Cambridge Springs, Merle Castile and his wife Connie of Saegertown, great-niece Shannon Motter and her daughter Genevieve and Aislin of Titusville, great-niece, Marjorie Castile and her daughters Christina and Nicole of Meadville, great-niece, Jennie Castile of Raleigh, NC, great-nephew Jamie Castile and his wife Lucille and their sons Aiden and Logan of Meadville, great-nephew Shane Castile of Venango.
He is preceded in death by his parents, a brother James Edward Castile and a sister-in-law Marylin Castile.
Calling hours will be Wednesday, May 18, 2011 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Roofner-Collins-Warren Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 544 Chestnut Street, Meadville, PA. Funeral Service will follow at 6:00 PM with Pastor Temple Jarrell officiating. Military honors by VFW Post 2006 Color guard.
Burial will be in Blooming Valley Cemetery, Blooming Valley, PA.

Heaven is a much better place with Billy smiling there now! I met him 16+ years ago in the rooms of AA, and learned alot from his example & unconditional love! Keeping you all in my thoughts & prayers!!!
