  7. I am very sorry to hear of the loss of your beloved Rusty. I did not know him well, but I remember him from the Body Firm and from seeing him around town. I cannot imagine what all of you are going through. Take comfort in knowing that he is in heaven and that you will see him again. You have a wonderful family and your love for each other will help you get through this. I will be out of town and will not be able to pay my respects to Rusty and your family. Take care.

  10. Rusty… Though it has been many years since we last saw each other, this news was no less shocking than if I were still back home. Instantly I thought of old, old soccer days, winter nights ice skating at the Rec, hanging out in high school with all the other fools we all were… Have a safe passage, and know that you’re going to be missed by many.

  19. I am saddened to hear about Rusty…we were classmates & graduated together from MASH ’91. Although it’s been a few years since I’ve seen him, he always had such a big smile, a laugh that never stopped, and his children meant the world to him.

  20. Rusty was Micheal’s assistant coach for Crawford County Youth Hockey. Rusty always had a huge smile on his face and just so happy with life. He always had a kind word, he always pushed Micheal to do his best in hockey. Micheal said that he will miss that the most, and the extra time he took with him. We will all miss him very much. My deepest sympathies to Doug and the Hanaway family and our prayers are with your family.

  21. Rusty and Alex were regular welcomed faces at our establishment and will be greatly missed. Rusty was always so cheery and always had such a wide smile on his face.   26. The time I spent with Rusty was precious! He could always put a smile on my face with his crazy sense of humor! I will hold my amazing memories of Rusty close to my heart, and will never forget him. He was one of a kind, and he loved his kids more than anything else! Rusty, you take a piece of my heart with you!
