Virginia Holabaugh Wygant, 83, of Meadville, died Sunday, Sept. 26, 2010, at Crawford County Care Center, Saegertown.
Born in Meadville on April 12, 1937, she was a daughter of Cora Noble Chambers Flickinger. She married Walter Holabaugh in 1945 and then subsequently married Edward Wygant in 1960.
She was a graduate of Meadville High School. She worked many years in the offices at Talon and also did the bookkeeping for Wygant Landscaping. Upon retirement, she and her husband, Ed, moved to Deming, N.M., for a time, she returning to Meadville after his death.
She enjoyed playing cards and other games. Her greatest love was for her late dog, Taffy.
Survivors include a son, Chris D. (Lois) Holabaugh of Meadville; a stepson, William (Nancy) Wygant of Albuquerque, N.M.; a daughter-in-law, Mary Kolesar Wygant; two grandchildren, Dan (Marcy) Holabaugh of Arlington, Mass., and Lee Holabaugh of Meadville; a great-grandchild, Lilian Holabaugh; nine stepgrandchildren, Clay (Louise Ford) Wygant and Kimberly Wygant of Albuquerque, and Rick, Mike, Danny and Mark Wygant, and Kathy Wygant Flack and Mary Wygant Thompson of Meadville; and two stepgreat-grandchildren, Charlotte and Stuart Wygant of Albuquerque, and several other stepgreat-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; and a stepson, Arthur Wygant.
There will be no calling hours.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
Ginny has requested that her remains be laid at the feet of her mother at Greendale Cemetery, Meadville.
Arrangements are under the direction of Roofner-Collins Funeral Home, 544 Chestnut St., Meadville.
