William D. Neugebauer

William D. Neugebauer, 81, of 11059 Cutter Road, Meadville, died Saturday, March 19, 2011, at Meadville Medical Center. He was born in Altoona on July 20, 1929, a son of William F. and Jane Dawson Neugebauer. He married Marilyn Smith on May 28, 1955. He was formerly employed by Westinghouse; worked on the construction of Smock Bridge; and sold automobiles for 40 years for Chevrolet dealerships, where he received many awards for outstanding salesmanship. He was a life member of Vernon Central Volunteer Fire Department and a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving from 1948 to 1952. He was a member of St. Brigid Church. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Marilyn Neugebauer of Meadville; four children, William J. Neugebauer and his wife, Jody, of Sandy Lake, Beth Young of Winchester, Va., Renee Dzurilla and her husband, Tim, of Ashburn, Va., and Brett Neugebauer and his wife, Michele, of Meadville; and 10 grandchildren, Garrett Neugebauer and his wife, Leslie, Riley Neugebauer, Nathan Young, Logan Young, Ryan Dzurilla, Christopher Dzurilla, Erin Dzurilla, Chad Neugebauer and Mitch Neugebauer. He was preceded in death by his parents. Memorial Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday at 11 a.m. at St. Brigid Church, with Father Mark O’Hern, pastor, as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Agatha Cemetery, West Mead Township. The family requests memorials be made to St. Brigid Church, 383 Arch St., or the Meadville Soup Kitchen, 956 S.
