Twila A. Desko Twila A. Desko, 87, formerly of Franklin, Pennsylvania and Fort Myers, Florida, passed away on February 26 at 9:30 p.m. at the Ahwatukee residential care home in Phoenix, Arizona, where she has lived for the past several months. Born May 4, 1923, in Strattanville, Pennsylvania, Twila was the daughter of the late George M. and Lena Prichard Seigworth. She was married December 31, 1945, to Joseph Desko, Jr., and he preceded her in death on February 1, 2005. Twila was a graduate of the West Penn Hospital Nursing School in Pittsburgh and she worked in general and surgical nursing at Franklin Hospital for more than 25 years. She served actively in the Fox Street Church of God for 60 years and was a member of the Women of the Church of God. She also was a member of Daughters of the American Colonists. Twila is survived by her daughters, Alene Archer of Phoenix, Arizona, and Luanne Morrison and her husband, Larry, of Ft. Myers, Florida; her grandchildren, Jill Jones of Grayson, Georgia, Jason Jones and his wife Shelley of Crossroads, Texas, Nicole Michal of Tempe, Arizona, and Erik Cooper and his wife Shawnelle of Phoenix; and her great-grandchildren, Jessica Michal, Mallory and Timothy White of Tempe, Arizona, Zachariah and Jacob Sylvester and Alyssa Cooper of Phoenix, Arizona, Jenna Jones of Grayson, Georgia, and Drake Wilt, Sophia and Joseph Jones of Crossroads, Texas. In addition to her parents and husband, Twila was preceded in death by her brothers, Howard and Glenn Seigworth. Family and friends will be received at the Gardinier Funeral Home, Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin, Pennsylvania on Saturday, March 5, from 3 to 7 p.m. Funeral services for Twila will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Fox Street Church of God in Franklin, with Rev. Randy Kightlinger, associate pastor of the church, officiating. Interment will follow Monday in Hickory Grove Cemetery. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the Fox Street Church of God, 229 Fox Street, Franklin, PA 16323.
