Obituary - Thomas Francis Bergin Thomas Francis Bergin, 62, of 1103 North St., Oil City, died at 2:45 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 19, 2009, at Meadville Medical Center, Meadville. Born July 15, 1947, in Franklin, he was a son of Arthur and Eleanor Black Bergin. Mr. Bergin was retired from the U.S. Army. He was a Vietnam veteran. He was a member of the Jehovah's Witnesses congregation. He is survived by two children, William and Angela; two sisters, Marge Bergin and Paula McElhaney, both of Cooperstown; three brothers, Richard Bergin and his wife, Margaret, and Paul Bergin, all of Franklin, and William Bergin of Pittsburgh; and two step-brothers, Greg McElhaney and his wife, Kathy, and James McElhaney and his wife, Becky, all of San Diego, Calif. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-father, Paul McElhaney; and a nephew, P.J. Bergin. There will be no visitation or public services. I am sorry to hear about Tom. He was a good man. I have many childhood memories of Tom. He visited my mom and dad, Mike and Kathy Blandin, often. The memories I have of Tom will always make me smile. Again, I offer you my sympathy.
