Nellie M. Snow, 87, of 103 N. 13th St., Franklin, died at 10:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 11, 2009, at The Caring Place. She was the last surviving member of her family. Born Jan. 18, 1922, in Franklin, she was the daughter of Henry D. Kightlinger and Laura Ann Atwell Kightlinger. She was married Oct. 7, 1939, to Walter R. Snow, who preceded her in death. She had been a housekeeper at Mt. Shadows Resort in Arizona. Mrs. Snow was a member of the Franklin Christian Missionary Alliance Church. She is survived by a son, Gary L. Snow of Tuscon; and four grandchildren, Kim Worcester and her husband, Tom, of Tuscon, Sue Folini and her husband, Rob, of Idaho, Garnett Snow of Clarksburg, W.Va., and Chris Snow of Nashville. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Jack Snow, who died Aug. 11, 1990; four brothers, Roy, Melvin, Forrest and Dale Kightlinger; a sister, Orpha Boyer; and two infant sisters. There will be no visitation. Interment will be in Rockland Cemetery. I HAVE WORKED AT THE CARING PLACE FOR TWO YEARS AND I WILL DEEPLY MISS NELLIE. SHE WAS A WONDERFUL LADY AND I TRULY ENJOYED WORKING WITH HER.
