Medora i??Dodiei?? Wierbinski, 71, of 103 N. 13th St., Franklin, died unexpectedly at 2:30 p.m., Friday, June 20, 2008, at The Caring Place in Franklin. Born Jan. 28, 1937, in Oil City, she was the daughter of Edwin Richard Wattsjer and Elsie Mae Duncan. She was a 1954 graduate of Oil City High School. Mrs. Wierbinski was retired from the Franklin Hospital as a nursing assistant. She was the secretary for the former Franklin Mayor Guy Mammolite. She was also a former employee of Chicago Pneumatic Tool Company. She was a member of the Unitarian church. Mrs. Wierbinski was an accomplished artist. She painted portraits of many friends and family members. In addition to her family, i??Dodiei?? enjoyed the company and correspondence of her lifelong friends, Ann Jones, Pat Wymer, Shirley Marwood and Margy Rice. She is survived by three children, Donald Gustafson of Oil City, Shawn Wierbinski and Kira Shirey and husband, Mike, all of Franklin; nine grandchildren, Eric Culver, Ryan Culver, Matt Culver, Brandon Shirey and Shane Lindsey, all of Franklin, Boone Pierach, Kyla Shirey, Gary Delong, Jr. and Alexandria Delong; and seven great-grandchildren, Caden and Micah Culver, Cody Culver, Alliyah Lindsey, Mason Lindsey and Brooklyn and Makiah Culver. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Helen Worner; a daughter, Kirsten Wierbinski; and an elder infant brother, Richard Wattsjer. A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are being handled by the Robert W. Gardinier Funeral Home Inc. in Franklin.
