Mary C. Crow, 83, of 801 Rocky Grove Avenue, Franklin, passed away at 8:05 AM ,May 9, 2013 at Sugarcreek Station, after a short battle with cancer. Born August 14, 1929 in Lincoln Heights, PA, Mary was the daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Hertzog) Lehman. Mary was an avid bowler, who continued to bowl up until this past year. She also enjoyed bingo and playing cards with her friends in the card club. Mary raised her family in Foxburg for 17 years until moving to Polk to be closer to her job at Polk Center. Mary started off in the Dietary Department, after several years she transferred to become a Residential Service Aide until her retirement in 1991. Mary is survived by a daughter, Toni Hawke, with whom she resided; and a son, Tracy Crow, of Polk. Also surviving are two grandsons, Chad Crow of Polk and Timothy (Matt) Crow of Franklin; three granddaughters, Tonya Crow of Pittsburgh, Melissa Crow and her husband, Matt Williams, of Oil City, and Allison Crow of Philadelphia. She is also survived by fourteen great-grandchildren whom she enjoyed babysitting; a brother, Charles (Chuck) Lehman; her sister, Linda Hodgson; and her good friends, Pat and Connie. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by two daughters, Terri Crow and Tina Welch; two sons, Thomas Crow and Timothy Crow; her great-grandson, Tyler Crow; and her sister, Phyllis Holden. Mary request in leiu of flowers that anyone wishing could make a memorial donation to Community Ambulance Service Inc., PO Box 909, Franklin, PA 16323. In honoring her wishes there will no services or visitation. The family would like to express their appreciation to all their friends and colleagues for their kind thoughts and prayers. Toni, I am SO sorry for your loss. I know that it has been a stressful time for you these passed few months, but I hope that you can find peace and comfort in your friends and family as you move on with your life. I never knew your mom; but I know that she raised a wonderful daughter in YOU and I can honestly thank her for bringing you into “our” world. Peace be with you.
