Mary Ann Booth

She was born in Meadville on March 11, 1941, a daughter of Joseph A. and Elizabeth Sankey Ball. She married Ronald K. Booth on Sept. 4, 1965. She was a 1959 graduate of Meadville High School and was a homemaker. Mary Ann Booth, 67, of 13899 Denny Road, Meadville, died Thursday, Jan. 29, 2009, at Hamot Medical Center, Erie. She enjoyed reading, growing her plants and flowers, and spending time with her family. She was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 429 Auxiliary and Vernon Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary. Survivors, in addition to her husband of 43 years, include two daughters, Mary K. Shaw and her husband, Ronald G., of Saegertown, and Elizabeth Ann (Beth) Onspaugh of Meadville; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Mary Elizabeth Tonelli of Erie; two nieces and two great-nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents. There are no calling hours or service. Burial will be in St. Brigid Cemetery, West Mead Township. The family requests memorials be made to the American Diabetes Association, 300 Penn Center Blvd., Suite 700, Pittsburgh, Pa. 15235. Arrangements are under the direction of Roofner-Collins Funeral Home Inc., 544 Chestnut St., Meadville.
