Lucas James Garich, 6 months, of 212 Missouri St., Franklin, died Saturday, June 13, 2009, at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh. Born Dec. 5, 2008, at UPMC Northwest in Seneca, he was a son of Steven Allen Dashner and Lacey Jo Garich. He is survived by his parents; a paternal grandmother, Connie Dashner of Franklin; maternal grandparents, Chris and Missy Garich of Franklin; maternal great-grandmother, Betty L. Glass of Venus; paternal great-grandparents, Nancy Dashner of Oil City and Edward Dashner of Franklin; and special aunts, Chelsea and Kali Garich and Ashley Goodman, all of Franklin. He was preceded in death by a maternal great-grandfather, James L. Glass; maternal great-great grandparents, Gordon and Julia Garich; and a paternal grandfather, Frederick Swires. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Gardinier Funeral Home, Inc. in Franklin. Funeral services will be private. Memorials may be made to Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh, Cardiac Intensive Care Unit, Children's Hospital Drive, 45th St. and Penn Ave., Floor 4, Pittsburgh, 15201.
