Lois Ruth Allen Lois Ruth Allen, 68, passed away on Sunday, March 14, 2010 in Elizabeth City, North Carolina. Born in Farrell, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Beatrice Richards Smith. She was a member of the Eastern Star, a volunteer for the Red Cross, and also enjoyed volunteering at the Whalehead Club in Corolla, North Carolina. Mrs. Allen is survived by her husband, Robert C. Allen of Corolla, North Carolina; two daughters, Denise Wagner and her husband, Clayton, of Oneonta, New York, Heidi Corsello and her husband, J.T., of Champion, Pennsylvania. She is also survived by her four grandchildren, Ben Wagner, Allison Wagner, Melinda Wagner, and Nicole Gilbert. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Allen was preceded in death by her brother, Fred Smith. Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, March 16 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Twiford Funeral Home in Manteo, North Carolina. Funeral Services for Mrs. Allen will also be held at Twiford Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 17 at 2 p.m. A Graveside Committal Service for Mrs. Allen will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 20 at the Pleasantville Cemetery in Wesley, Pennsylvania. Graveside arrangements are being handled by the Gardinier Funeral Home, Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin.
