The first and last time I ever went horseback riding was with Kathy. I think the horse was laughing as much as we were at my horrific skills lol.
I only met her once doing my photography and she was a true joy to be around. Her smile I remember watching her grandson turn 1 was so special to see. I could see how much love she had for her family. My sympathy for family and my prayers are with you.
I will always cherish every trail ride, every late night around Kathy’s kitchen table, and all the adventures!! She was an inspiration and a friend. Seeing Kathy go back to finish her nursing degree gave me hope that I could do it too! My all time favorite memory is when we decided to take the trucks mudding for her birthday! We got stuck!! And had to get the neighbor with his tractor to get us out. Such a wonderful day to look back on!
I met Kathy at Chandler’s first birthday party, she sure did spoil her grandson! My condolences go out to the family during this difficult time ❤️
Aunt Kathy,
You never made me feel unwelcome. You opened your home to me and my family more times than I can count. I loved spending time with you as a child every summer, holiday, and basically every weekend! Riding horses, catching crayfish and toads, prayer circles, and running through your home will always be fond memories for me. Even after years of not seeing you, last April I came back to your home, and it still was the best sleep I’ve ever gotten. I’ll miss sitting around the old Amish table that’s been there as long as I can remember and just hearing you laugh and tell stories. I don’t think I’ll ever find that feeling and comfort in a place without you again. You were always so proud of me and made sure to let me know. I will miss you so much and I’ll carry your memory with me for as long as I live. I’ll make sure the world knew what a wonderful person Kathy Potts was. I love you. I’ll see you again.
Love, Victoria
How can you just write one memory , when everyday working with her was memorable. I loved everything about this girl , her laugh, dedication.to her job, the way she talked about her family , and how she lit up when talking about her husband. Everything she did , she did with compassion and a smile. She cracked up , when I started saying, I need all the things” then that was her saying .. she took my phone , like my 4th day meeting her , added her number, Kathy Potts , bestie.. She always was so positive just loved her life. Till I see you again , bestie you will never be forgotten.
I met Kathy and her sisters thru horses and riding together. When I ran HC Ranch they camped and were so fun. They made it a point to always come to our Sheffield Dice ride. Ride High Cowgirl until we meet again!💜✝️
My dear friend, may you rest in peace knowing you were the best friend, wife, mother, grandmother, sister and nurse I will ever know. I’m so proud of the person you were and became. I was so happy that you fulfilled your dreams of becoming a RN. So many great memories of us in high school and the jokes we played. Also the great memories sitting around your mom’s house laughing with your family. I remember when you first met Israel. You were head over heels in love. There wasn’t a day I remember where you didn’t wear is letterman jacket proudly. I will miss your smile, laugh and most of all your kindness. Rest in Peace my sweet friend. You will be missed by many.
You are an amazing woman. You always opened your house to everyone even if you didn’t know them and made them feel right at home. You were always caring, loving and always had a smile on your face. I will miss all the great trail rides and will cherish all the memories we made. I loved spending time at your house just playing games and hanging out.
She was out baby sister Buuuuuttttt you would never know it as she was not spoiled!! Kathy was truly an angel. Her love transformed every moment around her into a beautiful painting alive with joy and laughter. The silent whispers of her passionate nature echoed vigorously in each trail ride, while she selflessly ensured that every family event was soaked in love and happiness. Those wonderful pictures radiate her love for life, reminding us about our very own sunshine who continues to shine brightly within our hearts.
As we fondly remember Kathy, let us celebrate her selfless spirit and unwavering love. This world was Kathy’s stage, where she made sure fun was had my one and all!! Her faith was as firm as a mountain. Like a storybook character, she always placed herself last, ensuring everyone else’s happiness before hers!! She will be greatly missed!! Love Ya Kathy until I see you again!!
Amos Lee and his wife Ruth were truly like family to Kathy!! When it was time to get the horses feet trimmed she would take the day off so we could go pick Amos up and she then would drive him to others houses so he could trim there horses feet as well!!! She NEVER once expected anything in return for her kindness!!! She just enjoyed spending the whole afternoon with him and her family and we always would take Amos and Ruth to lunch so we could spend more time together!! She Loved Her Family Unconditionally!!!

2nd grade and prom and so many other moments……❤️
While at the viewing, I was in another room and I heard Kathy’s laughter out in the hall.
It had to be one of her sisters, but I don’t know which one. I did give me a thrill, because that is what will stay with me. Kathy’s laughter and smile. Any time around her, she was laughing and smiling.
I hope that stays with her family and friends.
Israel, Matthew, Michael,
No words of condolences may not heal your sorrow right now, but in time, I hope peace in your heart will find you.
Everyone must try to remember:
All that love could do was done.
Love, your cousin Brenda
