John W. Eichholtz John W. Eichholtz, 93, of Gurney Road, passed away at 5:40 a.m. on Thursday, September 08, 2011, at UPMC Northwest in Seneca. Born September 6, 1918, in Franklin, John was the son of the late John S. and Emma Graff Eichholtz. He was married on November 22, 1940 to Sabina Hennessey and she preceded him in death on July 25, 1992. John was a WWII Navy Veteran, and was a retired printer from Cleveland Plain Dealer Newspaper. He attended the Seventh Street Church of God in Franklin, and was a member of Elks and Kiwanis. He was a wonderful dad. John is survived by his daughters, Jacqueline Rada and her husband, Joseph, and Johanna "Peg" Pease and her husband, James, all of Avon Lake, Ohio. He is also survived by his five grandchildren, John Pease and his wife, Heidi, of North Ridgeville Ohio, Jamie Pease of Toluca Lake, California, Samantha Fowkes and her husband, Brad of Avon Lake, Ohio, Libby Slunski and her husband, Marty, of Avon, Ohio, and Joey Rada of Chicago, Illinois; and his five great-grandchildren, Nicholas Fowkes and Noah Fowkes of Avon Lake, Ohio, and Macey Slunski, Jakob Slunski and Darby Slunski of Avon, Ohio. He is additionally survived by numerous nieces and nephews; and his second wife, Gladys Wilkins Orsega Eichholtz of Franklin (whom he married in November 1998) and her family. In addition to his parents and first wife, John was preceded in death by his brother and his two sisters. Family and friends will be received at the Gardinier Funeral Home, Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin, PA,on Sunday, September 11 from 3 to 7 p.m. Funeral Services for John will be held on Monday, September 12 at 11:00 a.m. at the Funeral Home, with Rev. James Leichliter, pastor of the 7th Street Church of God, officiating. Military Honors will be accorded by the V.E.T.S. Honor Guard. Interment will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery.
