Janet L. Barstow, 77, of Meadville, passed away, on May 8, 2013 at Rolling Fields Nursing Home after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born November 18, 1935 in Meadville a daughter of William H. Snow, Sr. and Albertha L. McBride Snow. She married Kenneth L. Barstow on January 15, 1983, he survives.
She was a 1955 graduate of Meadville Area High School and attended Penn State Behrend with a degree in business.
Janet was employed by the Crawford Store and later was the manager of Kindlers Crawford Boutique until her retirement.
She was a member of Grace United Methodist, American Legion Post 111 Auxiliary and she volunteered at the Central Blood Bank.
Janet enjoyed flowers, gardening, and traveling with her family.
In addition to her loving husband, Kenneth L. Barstow of Meadville; she is survived by two sisters, Judith A. Scott of Meadville and Joyce E. Dilley and her husband Harold of Meadville; a brother, James M. Snow and his wife Sandy of Meadville; two step sons, Larry L. Barstow and his wife Susan of Conneautville and Edward K. Barstow and his wife
Veronica of Altoona, Pennsylvania; four step-grandchildren, Justin, Tanner, Jessica, and Ben Barstow; a nephew,
Brian Dilley and his wife Tara of Linesville; a niece, Barbara Eisenberger and her husband Charles of Meadville; a several cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, William H. Snow, Jr.
Family and friends are welcome to call on Saturday, May 11th from 1:00pm to 3:00pm at Roofner-Collins-Warren Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 544 Chestnut Street, Meadville. The funeral and committal service will follow at the funeral home at 3:00pm with Pastor Paul Houseworth of Wesleyan United Methodist Church, officiating.
Burial will take place in Greendale Cemetery, Meadville.
