Emelyn Frances Knox Clark, formerly of 28564 State Highway 77, Guys Mills, passed away Friday, Aug. 27, 2010, at Wesbury United Methodist Retirement Community, Meadville. She was born May 1, 1917, in Harrison County, W.Va., a daughter of James H. Knox and Mabel Frances Knox Flick. An avid reader, she also enjoyed crafts, puzzles and raising flowers, and loved to go fishing with her husband. She was a 1939 graduate of Meadville Area High School and attended Meadville Commercial College after graduation. She married Russell Percy Clark, Nov. 14, 1939, at First Baptist Church in Meadville. He passed away Sept. 7, 2002. She retired from Talon Inc. in 1979 after 42 years of employment. Most of those years were spent in the payroll department as salary payroll administrator. She was a member of New Richmond United Methodist Church since 1932. She served many positions at the church including treasure for 25 years. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. She is survived by a few close cousins; and her close friends, William and Jean Beatty. Calling hours will be Sunday from 6 to 9 p.m. at Willis L. Arnold Funeral Home, 33353 N. Main St., Townville, branch firm of Roofner-Collins Funeral Home. There will be an additional calling hour on Monday from 10 to 11 a.m. at New Richmond United Methodist Church, with the funeral to follow at 11 a.m., with Pastor Jeff Bobin officiating. Burial will be at Kingsley Cemetery, Townville. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to New Richmond United Methodist Church, 29776 State Highway 77, Guys Mills, Pa. 16327.
