Dorothy B. Hefner Roseberry, 84, of Donna Drive, Meadville formerly of Crossingville, passed away, Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at Meadville Medical Center. She was born March 5, 1928 in Pickens, West Virginia a daughter of Evan Daniel Hefner and Lona Cartwright Hefner. She married Robert T. Roseberry, Sr. on August 20, 1947 he preceded her in death on December 13, 1983. Dorothy was a homemaker raising her family but in her later years she worked at the Holiday Inn. She enjoyed playing bingo and especially spending time with her family. Dorothy was a former member of the Moose Lodge and was on the T.V. show "Queen for a Day." She is survived by two daughters, Elizabeth L. North of Greenville and Mildred M. Carroll and her husband David of Meadville; four sons, Robert T. Roseberry, Jr. and his wife Della of Ardmore, Alabama, William T. Roseberry, Sr. and his wife Glenda of Richlands, North Carolina, Frederick J. Roseberry and his wife Crystal of Clarks Mills, Pennsylvania, and James D. Roseberry and his wife Charlene of Edinboro, Pennsylvania; 44 grandchildren; 68 Great-Grandchildren; 3 Great-Great Grandchildren; two sisters, Ethel Woolslayer of Erie, Pennsylvania and Annalee Stafford of Fairview, Pennsylvania; two brothers, James Hefner and his wife Alice of Erie, Pennsylvania and Joseph Hefner and his fiance Peggy of Florida; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her loving husband, Robert, Sr. of 36 years, Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; three children, Jessie Mae Blair, Marion Amory, and Debra Schwab; three grandchildren, Lauren Schwab, Jennifer Rhoades, and Scott Amory; and several brothers and sisters. Family and friends are welcome to call on Friday, January 11th from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and 7:00pm to 9:00pm at Roofner-Collins-Warren Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 544 Chestnut Street, Meadville. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 12th at 11:00am at the funeral home with Pastor Alice McClymonds, officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Vernon Township. Memorial contributions may be made in Dorothy's memory to Hospice of Crawford County, 464 Pine Street, Meadville, Pennsylvania 16335.
