David P. Johnson, 67 of 354 Ravine St., Meadville, passed away at Meadville Medical Center on June 7, 2011. He was born in Meadville on January 4, 1944 the son of Frances C. Davern-Williams, Clyde W. Williams, and his biological father Bill Johnson.
He was of the catholic faith and attended St. Brigid Catholic Church
David spent his elementary schooling years at St. Brigid School and he graduated from Meadville High School in 1962.
In his early years he was employed at K-Mart and S.S. Kresge both in Reading, PA; subsequently after moving back to the Meadville area he was employed at Talon and was a custodian for Crawford Central School District.
He was a US Army Veteran stationed in Fort Benning, Georgia as a Operating Room Specialist. He received the National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and was a Sharpshooter with the M-14 Rifle.
David loved spending time with his family, enjoyed being social and around people, he had a passion for cars especially Town Cars and Cadillacs, and was an avid Cleveland Browns and Cleveland Indians fan.
He is survived by three children; Shelley Johnson, Sean Johnson, and Sherri Johnson all of Meadville; the mother of his children; Sandra Patterson of Meadville, one brother; Gary D. Williams and his wife Dee of Townville, aunt; Marie C. Smith of Meadville, and several cousins.
He was was preceded in death by his parents Frances C. and Clyde W. Williams, his biological father Bill Johnson, and a nephew Tracy R. Williams
Calling hours will be on Friday, June 10 at 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00PM to 9:00PM at Roofner-Collins-Warren Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 544 Chestnut St., Meadville, PA. A prayer vigil service will be at the funeral home at 8:30 PM.
Mass of Christian Burial will celebrated on Saturday, June 11 at 10:00 AM at St. Brigid Church, 383 Arch St., Meadville, PA with Father Raymond Gramata as celebrant.
Burial will follow at St. Brigid Cemetery.
Memorial may be made to St. Brigid Church or the charity of the donor's choice.

sean, sherri i am sorry to here about your dad. he was such a wonderful man. he always had a smile on his face when i saw him. and sean he always talked about when i saw you i think its becouse of our birthdays (lol) so anyway im sorry for your loss you are in my thoughts and prayers.
Sean,Shelly and Sherri, So sorry to hear of the loss of your Grandma Fran and of your Dad. Passing of love ones bring back special memories of both. I spent alot of time with both of them when I was a child and had no extented family close by. They both took me in with open arms and they both gave me experiences and adventures I still remember today. So even though I am shedding tears for the loss.I am grateful for the time they gave me.
