Bernice Baughman Bernice Baughman, 96, passed away at The Caring Place at 10:24 a.m. on Wednesday, December 7, 2011. Born in Franklin on September 30, 1915, Bernice was the daughter of the late Charles and Edith Seekins Finch. She was married to Merle B. Baughman on March 28, 1937, and he preceded her in death on November 12, 1999. Mrs. Baughman was a homemaker, which she enjoyed very much. She was a member of the Atlantic Avenue United Brethren in Christ Church, where she was very active. She enjoyed ceramics, crocheting, and cake baking and decorating. She especially enjoyed her home and the times she shared with her family. Mrs. Baughman is survived by her son, Charles O. Baughman and his wife, Carolyn, of Franklin; and her three daughters, Twila Wolford and her husband, Larry, of Franklin, Maxine Hutchison of Willowick, Ohio, and Carol Neville and her husband, Daniel, of Zanesville, Ohio. She is also survived by her 10 grandchildren, Dawna Lancaster of Seneca; Daniel Wolford and his wife, Chrissy, of Chillicothe, Ohio; Julie Reinsel and her husband, Daniel, of Franklin; Bryan Baughman of Franklin; Tracy Smearman and her husband, Mark, of Chardon, Ohio; Leigh Archibald and her friend, Jim Stokes, of Wickliffe, Ohio; David Hutchison and his wife, Rebecca, of Bejing, China; Stephen Neville and his wife, Cheryl, of Cowden, Illinois; Philip Neville and his wife, Jill, of Millersburg, Ohio; and Timothy Neville of Canal Fulton, Ohio; and her 16 great-grandchildren. She is additionally survived by her sister, Eleanor Huddleson of Richland, Washington; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Bernice was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Shirley Ann Baughman; her brother, Harry O. Finch; and her sisters, Florence Martin, Pauline Harmon, Audine Baughman and Lillian Stoltenburg; and her son-in-law, Edward Hutchison. Family and friends will be received at the Gardinier Funeral Home, Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin on Friday, December 9, 2011 from 3 to 7 p.m. Funeral Services for Bernice will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 10 at The Caring Place, with Rev. Linda Deeter, pastor of The Caring Place, and Rev. Brad Riddle, pastor of the Atlantic Avenue United Brethren in Christ Church, co-officiating. Interment will be in the Franklin Cemetery. The Family suggests that Memorial Contributions be made to the Christian Loving Fund at The Caring Place and/ or the Atlantic Avenue United Brethren in Christ Church.
