Belva C. Walter

Belva "Billie" C. Walter, 95, of Meadville, passed away, Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at Meadville Medical Center. Billie as she was known by her friends was born January 28, 1918 in Angola, Indiana, a daughter of Archie Carrick and Henrietta Uppencamp Carrick. She met her husband Bob at Tri-State College in Angola, Indiana. They were married on May 19, 1952. Billie loved to sew, crochet, cook, can fruits and vegetables, being around animals, traveling with her husband to Arizona which they visited every year, gardening, mowing the yard which she did until the age 89, and bowling in her bowling league for many years. She is survived by her loving husband, Robert O. Walter of 61 years; a daughter, Sandy Peake of Meadville and her daughters, Elaina Peake of San Diego, CA, Jenica Peake of Jacksonville, FL, and Nyssa Peake of Meadville; a son, Robert Keller and his wife Alice of Cochtanton, and their children, Robert Keller of Erie, and Melissa Runinger of Meadville; great-grandchildren, Shelby and Amber Runinger of Meadville, and Chandler Keller of Erie and various nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Melvin Carrick and his wife Ruth of Angola and a sister, Katherine Aldrich and her husband, Mark of La Porte, Indiana. Family and friends are welcome to call on Sunday, July 21, 2013 from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. and 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Roofner-Collins-Warren Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 544 Chestnut Street, Meadville. There will be additional calling hours on Tuesday, July 23, 2013 from 2:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. and Wednesday, July 24, 2013 from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. with the funeral service to follow at 11:00 A.M. at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home, 201 North Oak Street, Corydon, Indiana. Burial will take place at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Corydon, Indiana.
